Programme Intended Learning Outcomes (PILOs)


Upon successful completion of the Programme, students should be able to:

  1. Demonstrate proficiency in both Chinese and English, competence in translation, and an understanding of translation as a transformative process that connects diverse areas of knowledge.
  2. Reflect on the connections between translation, modern technology and diverse academic disciplines.
  3. Apply critical and conceptual thinking to solving problems in interlingual and intercultural communication.
  4. Conduct independent research and projects that address the evolving landscape of global communication.
  5. Prepare for careers in translation, interpreting, localisation, international relations, digital content creation and other fields, with a focus on ethical awareness.
