Double Major

Students may choose to take a Double Major Programme in Translation and English, which provides training in both fields. Courses in the English Major portion of the Double Major are taught by the Department of English Language and Literature.

  • To develop students’ sophisticated, critical, analytical and interpretative skills through in-depth studies in two fields

*Double Major students are required to take 6 additional units of free electives.

Students should declare a Double Major at the end of Year 3. Since it is not easy to meet the requirements for two Majors, students are advised to take courses according to the course lists and study schedules provided by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.

Students pursuing Double Major are expected to achieve a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.

Students are required to complete at least two major elective courses at Level 3 or Level 4 for both the Home Major and Second Major.
